What To Do In Davao: Visit Eden Nature Park

When in Davao, one thing that I suggest is to allot a day to visit and enjoy Eden Nature Park. Its95%man made forest. Man made because decades ago, in the early 70s, this part of Barangay Eden was a victim of illegal logging. What the Ayalas of Davao did was to restore it by planting trees and now, more and more people are able to experience a wonderful life in a forest.

We arrived at the park before lunch time. We decided to have buffet lunch first. Food was okay, notexceptional, but it was okay. What I loved most was one of the desserts, the Camote-Ube Float!

Although the buffet lunch was not exceptionally good, the view at their buffet area is really good! It's a glass type restaurant and the green view is amazing! It really feels refreshing there!

After lunch, we had the chance to see the whole place. It is advisable to join the shuttle tour because it is impossible to see the whole place by walking, especially if you're beating the time! The shuttle tour lasted for 45 minutes - 1 Hour.  You can enjoy their shuttle tour for photo ops with the beautiful flowers, watch a mini show & get an overview on how Lumad's live their lives and last stop of the mini tour was to get a closer look at the forest and the herb gardens.

And of course, after the tour, we headed to the activities area to try the rides! I was most excited to ride the Sky Cycle and I was not disappointed. It was actually a good thing that it was a two way ride. First ride was really nerve wracking, but the second ride was really fun! I enjoyed the view!

I wanted to try the Sky Swing, good thing my partner said no. When we were watching the brave souls who went for it, we couldn't help but feel a lot of things for them. lol. We were admiring them for being so brave, we felt bad because they were so afraid up there, we were happy because, well, it was fun to watch them having fun but screaming their hearts out!

We actually have swimming in our list of activities but their pool is only open until 5PM. We decided to just head back to the hotel and rest for a bit before going out for dinner.
