Best Spot for Relaxation: Astoria Palawan

As part of the perks of being a member of Astoria Leisure & Vacation Club Inc, we received complimentary 3D2N stay at Astoria Palawan. Since we have already visited the top tourist destinations in Puerto Princesa, we decided to not leave the hotel and just relax.

Warning: This is a photo heavy post. LOL

Having been able to stay in Astoria Current and visited Astoria Boracay, I had high expectation from Astoria Palawan. I kinda knew that I wouldn't be disappointed. Just like Astoria Current, it is so vibrant.

Reception Area. Sorry, I was not able to take a photo of the full Front Desk. :P
We stayed in one of their Deluxe Rooms. It has 2 queen sized beds, dining table, personal fridge, microwave, coffee and tea maker, eating utensils, bathroom has shower & bath.
Published rate of this Deluxe Room is P6,600 (inc. taxes & fees), breakfast for 2 is also already included.
Always check their website and book directly. This room is currently on promo, P4,950.00: Free Breakfast for 2 is already included
We knew that Astoria Palawan is more than an hour away from Puerto Princesa City so we were prepared to just stay in and enjoy the whole place. Since we were able to do the PPC tour last time, we didn't mind!

And I mean, who would complain if you've got this massive and beautiful pool? We loved how we had the pool all to ourselves most of the time!

And it looks even more majestic at night!
Drinks by the pool? It does not get any better than this! :)
We had our meals at the resort's restaurant, The Reserve. Food was okay, not really impressed, but it's okay. Especially because it wasn't as expensive as I thought it would be. :D

Sharing some food photos!

We were not able to finish all the food, so we had some chicken left over and the almost untouched pizza for take out. It served as our breakfast on our second day. :P Our free accommodation did not include the breakfast, so it was perfect! We didn't have to avail of the Breakfast Buffet the next morning. :D

More Food!

Their cocktails were Buy 1 Take 1 from 6PM-9PM.
On our 3rd Day, we still ate some of the(leftover lol) pizza for breakfast and then we availed the Buffet Breakfast for Brunch! We had lunch at 9:30 AM
Egg station! My favorite part of any buffet breakfast. :D
Bread Station

Salad Station

My poser breakfast plate. I actually had rice on my second plate. :P
They had more options, I was just too hungry to take a photo. Adobo, sausages, danggit, rice, desserts, cereals, etc.

Astoria also has videoke room, gym, game room, free use of kayak and bikes as part of their amenities. These facilities can be used by the guests for free.
The Game Room. There were gusest on the other side so I wasn't able to take a photo.

Lobby at the other building,
Gym

To set everyone's expectation, the sea is predominantly low tide, we did not actually swim there. We were, however, able to enjoy kayaking. Make sure to wake up early to enjoy the calm beauty of the sea. We were told that the best time to kayak is 7AM-10AM.

Astoria is still on the process of making the their beach front more beautiful. They're nourishing the sea to give guests even better experience in the future. Since guests have limited access to the beach, we were given 1 day free pass at Palawan Water Park which will be up on my next blog! :)
