An Afternoon With The Girls

Image
I met up with some of my college friends last April 9, 2013. It is always so difficult to get everyone together, so when one of the girls suggested that we meet on the 9th, I was one of the firsts who confirmed! The last time that we had a get together was in January, when one of our friends came back from Australia. Which reminds me, ugh, I was not able to blog about that. Aaaanyway, back to the get together. As always, it took me some time to decide on what to wear and get myself ready for the get together. I had to meet up and get new stocks for my online shop in the morning and I rushed back home to make it to our 2PM meeting time! On that day, it wasn't as hot as it usually is since summer officially started. It even looked like it was going to rain, so I decided to wear a 3/4 shirt and a skater skirt. Ha! Dress: Cache Cache || Flats: CottonOn || Cardigan: Thrifted As a little girl, I had these things in mind which I wanted to be doing. I had plans. I had dreams. I knew back then what I really wanted. Growing up, I took the steps which I thought would take me closer to those things I aspired to have and to be the person I aspired to be.  Top: ChicaBooty || Shorts: Greenhills || Flats: Wade || Bag: Parfois When I reached young adulthood, I came to realize that it is not easy. Life is never easy. We don't get some of the things that we wanted no matter how hard we worked for it. Sometimes, it's really just not meant to be. We get things which we did not expect. We get both bad and pleasant surprises. We cry and laugh. We win some, we lose some. Life is a battle and you cannot always win.  Black Cami: Forever21 || Top: Thrifted || Pants & Shoes: Cotto On || Bag: No Brand, from Mom With all the frustrations, failures, sadness, successes, and happiness that I

Anthony & Kay's Wedding

Image
One of my friends from my first job got married last December 5. I know, I know. Super duper late post. I lost my drive to blog, again. But here I am again. Finally posting an update. Well anyway, back to Kay and her wedding. I was not able to start the wedding ceremony because I came from work, but I witnessed the wedding kiss! I am so happy for her and Anthony! Kay was my team leader when we were still working for the same company. I am so glad that even though we haven't been hanging out ever since we left the company, she still invited me (along with 3 others) to her wedding. Although she already mentioned that she was going to invite us, it still touched me that she really did! It only means I've been a good friend, right? HAHA!  The wedding ceremony was held at Malate Church and reception followed at Ramon Magsaysay Hall, just few blocks away. I really am getting old. I got really teary eyed when they kissed! Awww moment right thurrr. Haha! If I witne

Jessica, Ymel and Me I know quite a lot of people but there are only few whom I consider as my close friends. I am so blessed to have met Jessica and Ymel, my best friends in the whole world! We've been best friends for eleven years now. We were all there when a first experience each other's first love and first heartbreak! Hahaha! We may not hang out every week but we always get in touch via facebook, twitter and/or sms! When we get together, it always feels like the time we allotted with each other is not enough. We understand each other best. We can finish each other's sentences. We can be brutally honest with each other. I love these two girls so so much! Two weeks ago (late post again, lol), we had this send off dinner for her. As of this moment, she's already in Jeddah, nursing sick people there. I am happy for her because she finally gets to practice her profession again, but it's just sad because we are going to miss her here again! I'm g

What's In My Bag Part Version III

Since I did not go anywhere this long weekend and has nothing to blog, I decided to post (another) What's In My Bag Entry! Here's a tip, if you ran out of things to blog and you want to update your blog badly, there are the topics you might want to post: What's In My Bag Post What's In My Make Up Pouch Post My Favorite (Anything) List My Wish List My Bucket List As for me, as what my title says, it's another What's In My Bag post. I posted one last year and I thought that it's just time to post another one! Ha! So here we go! This was last Wednesday. Bag from ALDO. I've had this bag for more or less two years now but I just started appreciating this recently. Why just recently? Well, because two of my favorite big bags gave up on me already! Hahaha! I didn't want to risk getting my other favorite to bid farewell, too.. So I started using this when I need to carry a lot of stuff! Lol. I tend to abuse my favorite bags, y'

Reasons To Be Thankful

I am not the most religious person you'll meet. I miss hearing Sunday Mass sometimes and I don't read the Bible, but I can say that I have this personal relationship with God. I believe, respect and have fear in Him. I talk to him a lot. I ask forgiveness for my sins, I thank Him for all the blessings that I continuously receive and I ask Him for help and guidance in everything. My September was not that good, I was mostly stressed and depressed last month so I was hoping and praying that October would be different. And guess what, it's just the middle of October and a lot of good things has already happened. San Agustin Church - Intramuros  Almost two weeks ago, I was in Intramuros so I thought of dropping by San Agustin Church. My plan was just to say a little prayer but the mass was just about to start when I came in, so I decided to finish it instead. It was the first time, after such a long time, that I was able to say a prayer at that church. I felt really go
